About the Owners—Dan and Jaime Avery
Dan and Jaime Avery are the proud co-owners of Animal Bed & Breakfast. They fell in love with the business from the moment they first stepped onto the property. Both lifelong animal lovers, they had long dreamed of owning a small business that combined their passion for pet care with their desire to serve the local community.
Dan is an Air Force Veteran with a background in business and family wealth management, while Jaime balances her position at Wells Fargo with caring for their family and staying involved in Animal Bed & Breakfast’s operations. Together, they believe every pet deserves a comfortable, stress-free stay—and that every customer should feel complete peace of mind when leaving their beloved companion in their care.
They live in Matthews, NC with their blended family of five children and their three dogs: Rambo, Oliver, and Coco.
About the Manager— Sara
Sara has proudly managed Animal Bed and Breakfast since 2021, but her journey with the facility began much earlier. In fact, she has been contributing her skills in various capacities since 2007, starting as a dedicated kennel technician. Her deep-seated passion for animal care shines through in everything she does, as she truly loves taking care of your pets and ensuring that they have a safe, welcoming place to board where they feel both loved and well cared for during their stay! When Sara is not busy tending to the needs of the animals at the kennel, she enjoys spending quality time at home with her husband, Ryan, as they manage their lively crew of four dogs—Gracey, Charley, Cody, and Colton—and their affectionate cat, Nellie. Their household is filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of furry companionship!
